FEAR

2022

Digital Prints on 200g Glossy Pink Paper

A5, 32 pages

It is a photo book talking about my fear of fish through the lens of my phone. This book is divided into three sections, which are divided into different age groups: Childhood, Pre-Teen, and Teenage. From the appearance of the fish to the behaviour to the quality of life, it is associated with the different problems people encounter in society. For example, the hollow eyes of fish remind me of people’s eyes, eyes, and opinions about me; the water tank filled with fish excrement and other dirty and yellowed water is like the dirty air in human cities; high population density, etc.

Endangered

2018 Individual Self-Assignment

90cm x 60cm

Acrylic paint on canvas

This is a 90cm x 60cm Acrylic Painting that depicts the pressures faced by women in today’s society, including the pressures of marriage, the pressure to reproduce, and the pressure of appearance and beauty. These pressures are like imprints on cells, multiplying and surrounding women, forming a deep well of pressure that makes it difficult to access the outside world. Under the influence of these pressures, the body starts to send signals of discomfort, manifesting through symptoms like vomiting out the indigestible pressures, and eventually, it may succumb to the pressure just as dinosaurs did.
