Lo Wing Yin Daisy
Lo Wing Yin Daisy's practice includes paintings, installation, and media arts. Throughout her work, the connection with the universe has always been her source of inspiration, ranging from the natural to the man-made, individual to the community, and reality to the inner world. By attempting to archive and rebuild the intangible boundaries from daily life, with and without perception, solitude appears in her works eventually.
She has always been fascinated by the unintentional loss of emotions and memory—something that is no longer visible or retrievable. Delving into the complexities of the human experience, she usually starts with written words, yet through embodying the intimacy between certain spaces, objects, and emotions, unexpected thoughts come to life that go beyond their physical form to express the questions underneath.

I recorded a conversation I had with my younger brother. Film cameras draw close attention to how light, time, and distance are used. The film I used was expired, but I chose to expose it to bring it up again in relation to an earlier incident. The photos are synced with the rhythm of our discussion and capture the moment when the shutter speed corresponds with the amount of time we spend on a specific topic. The text I made aims to create distance for the audience but let them be part of the conversation at the same time, like the role of the camera.
