Labels often obscure the true nature of life, what you see at first glance may not be the truth. You need to look closely, and the details will tell you the stories.

標籤往往掩蓋了生活的底蘊,驟眼看見不一定真實,要湊近觀察,細節才會告訴你其中的故事。

Art Nouveau

2023

Mixed media

29.7 x 42 x 7.5 cm

My work is a mixed media research book to study the art and design history of Art Nouveau.

This work is divided into 3 parts. First, the cover is a handbuilt basrelief inspired by Alphonse Mucha's Daydream; the figure rises out of the page as a half statue, so the period's history opens. The second part is the style: naturederived forms, integrated art and craft, elegant typography, and total design from furniture to architecture. The third part is the case studies of key artists and designers across Europe. With Handlettered pages and a map that traces centres such as Paris and Brussels, alongside figures like Mucha, Beardsley, and Gaudí.

Through crafting, modelling, and finishing each element in the work, the understanding of how Art Nouveau fused fine art and applied design was deepened. Substitute the aesthetic concept of the movement.

The Donut Tower

2025

Ceramics

20 x 10 x 20 cm

The donut tower embodies the joy of parties and dessert shops, transforming familiar treats into functional art. Each donut acts as a small bowl or plate, inviting playful arrangements and culinary creativity, blurring the lines between food and functional vessels

Paradise

2022

Mixed media

30 x 42.5 x 28 cm

Paradise is a miniature room that studies the pressure of modern life and imagines a sanctuary where that pressure loosens. The scene shows a girl at home without screens or gadgets, claiming unhurried time for herself. Soft yellow textiles cocoon the window seat, a woolly rug holds a sleeping cat, while small vases, postcards, and notes gather along the shelves, those simple rituals of care replacing constant notifications.
