ARTIST BIOGRAPHY
Elio Chan Chi Wing is a Hong Kong–based branding and visual communication designer currently completing a Bachelor of Visual Arts (Craft & Design) at Hong Kong Baptist University. Her practice grows from design, working across graphic design, illustration and moving image to build clear, story-driven identities for brands and cultural projects.
With three years of experience as a graphic designer, She has worked on branding projects for clients such as IKEA, CASETiFY, Tsui Wah and more. She is particularly interested in brands that carry emotional or social stories, and in using visual systems to make those stories accessible, honest and quietly impactful.

What grows in the dark builds only for itself. What stings was never trying to. Yet underneath persists the desire to be loved — quiet, unreasonable, waiting for someone who will stay through the burning and keep going anyway.

The fashion icon of all time – Barbie. She was created by Ruth Handler and launched by Mattel in 1959. In recent months, Barbie went viral again for the live action movie "Barbie".
In the film, the idea of ‘Everyone is Barbie!' is highly promoted, stating that women with different features are still as perfect as Barbie.

This work contrasts two emotional states in my home, with or without my father's presence. On the left, the house appears dark and tense: the cats are caged, the space feels empty, and the audio is composed of real recordings of my father scolding me. On the right, the home becomes warm and open, with lights on, the cats roaming freely, and soft meows filling the space. By placing these two scenes side by side, the work reflects how one's presence can reshape the atmosphere, silence living things, and alter the experience of home.
This magazine explores the indie dream‑pop band Cigarettes After Sex through a personal and intimate visual approach. The publication introduces who they are, their aesthetic, and the atmosphere surrounding their music. By using monochromatic tones, soft imagery, and minimal typography, the magazine reflects the band's signature mood — hazy, romantic, and quietly emotional. The design aims to translate their sound into a visual language, allowing readers to step into the music world of the band.
