藝術家簡介
My creations stem from daily experiences and observations of social life, exploring the connections between personal emotions and social phenomena.
I work primarily with traditional Chinese ink painting and digital illustration. I use ink techniques to capture my emotions and create narrative scenes and details through illustrations. My creations are deeply influenced by the method of “expressing emotions through scenery” in Chinese landscape paintings and by contemporary psychology. By using classic symbols and drawing inspiration from daily life, I explore the themes of people, time, and life.
我的創作源於日常的經驗與社會生活的觀察,探索個人情緒和社會現象之間的聯繫。
我主要以傳統的中國水墨畫和數字插畫形式進行創作,以水墨捕捉心緒的起伏,以插畫構建敘事的場景與細節。我的創作深受中國山水畫「以景寓情」的方法與當代心理學的啟發,通過對經典符號的挪用與日常生活中提取靈感,來探討人、時間與生活的主題。

This series of four circular ink paintings corresponds to the four stages of procrastination anxiety: calm, tension, anxiety, and panic. From the first to the fourth painting, the imagery shifts from neat to messy, the colours fade from rich to black and white, and the details move from refined to rough, capturing the emotional change as the deadline approaches.
這組四幅圓形水墨畫,對應拖延焦慮的四個階段:平靜、緊張、焦慮、恐慌。從第一幅到第四幅,畫面從工整轉為潦草,色彩由豐富褪至黑白,細節亦從精緻走向粗略,呈現截止日期逼近時的情緒變化。

Wedding Card Street depicts the changes of Lee Tung Street, once famous for wedding printing materials, and was later transformed by the government into a commercial street.
The work is presented in a pop art style and with diagonal composition. The old signs represent the Wedding Card Street that holds collective memories, while the lanterns and new buildings symbolise the current Lee Tung Street. Male figures and an excavator allude to the government’s leading role. The bold contrast of deep green and bright red blocks heightens the visual impact and emotional resonance. The work aims to document this social event and invite reflection on the loss of local cultural character.
《囍帖街》描繪了利東街的變遷。這條昔日以婚禮印刷品聞名的街道,后被政府改造為中式商業街。
作品以波普藝術風格和對角線構圖呈現。舊招牌代表承載集體回憶的囍帖街,燈籠與新建築象徵今日的利東街。男性人物與挖掘機暗示政府的主導角色。畫面採用大面積的深綠與鮮紅作強烈對比,既凸顯主題,也傳遞情感張力。作品旨在記錄這一社會事件,引發關於本土文化特色消逝的思考。
Time is the foundation of urban development. Watchmaking Trade depicts the watchmaking scene in Hong Kong during the 1970s, when apprentices had to study under a master for a full 7years – from chores to repairing parts and finally learning the master’s secrets. The master only taught the essential skills in the seventh year, fearing that the apprentice might surpass him too soon.
In the work, the dial replaces Arabic numerals with Chinese zodiac hours, and incorporates elements of dates, seasons and flowers. This not only indicates the passage of time but also makes it easier for viewers to understand the clock industry in the 1970s.
時間,是城市發展的基石。《鐘錶業》描繪了1970年代香港的鐘錶行業景象,當時學徒須跟隨師傅學習整整七年,從打雜、修理零件到最終習得技藝,師傅擔心徒弟過早學成超越自己,所以到第七年才願意傳授秘技。
作品中,錶盤以中國地支時辰取代阿拉伯數字,並加入日期與季節花卉的元素,暗示時間流逝的同時,也讓觀眾更容易理解1970 年代的鐘錶行業。
Three Guests in the Human World is a traditional ink painting based on the dynamic figures in the classic painting The Holy Trinity. The work retains the original character design but transforms the story of the gods descending to earth into a relaxed scene of playing poker. By transforming the solemn expressions into expressions that urge for the cards to be played, it injects humor into the traditional ink painting.
In terms of technique, it combines traditional brushwork and meticulous painting with three-layer shading to create depth. The work aims to allow viewers not only feel the weight of the classic but also experience the vitality of contemporary innovation.
《三位人間客人》是依據經典名畫《三位一體》中的人物動態所創作的水墨作品。作品保留原作的人物設定,卻將神明降世的故事轉化為打撲克牌的輕鬆場景。透過將莊嚴神態轉為催促出牌的表情,為傳統水墨注入幽默感。
在技法上,既運用傳統皴擦與工筆,也透過三次疊染營造層次。作品希望讓觀者既感受到經典的重量,也體驗當代創新的活力。
