藝術家簡介
Born in Hong Kong, Man Yuk is a stop-motion animation artist who explores topics surrounding sensation and daily observation, with a particular focus on scenery and atmosphere. She explores non-narrative animation, focusing on landscapes and mundane observation. She tends to apply what she develops in traditional drawing and painting, combining it with her cut-out and filming techniques to help her transform personal perception into tangible visuals.
生於香港，是一位定格動畫藝術家。她熱衷於探索知覺和日常觀察的主題，尤其關注風景和氛圍。她探索非敘事動畫，並專注於風景的觀察。她透過運用自己在傳統繪畫中所學到的知識，結合剪紙和拍攝技術，將個人感知轉化，塑造出有形的視覺。

The wind whispers through the trees.
The pavement shines in the night.
The micro world of water breaks down and regrows.
The day turns into night.
The light flows in the elevator.
The glass cabinet holds the light.
"Meander" is an animation that captures small critical moments using the physical and tactile nature of cut-out and stop-motion animation. Days are punctuated by wondrous, discrete moments, articulated in light, darkness, and vapour. Such moments are for letting go of thought and restoring attention to the world.

作品以生活中不可或缺的時刻為本，透過剪紙和定格動畫，描繪出這些記憶的溫度和質地。片段透過當中細微的物質──光、暗與霧氣，帶回時間縫隙中的奇妙碎片。 這一刻，放下思緒，回到當下。

This is a sculpture of my character, Dandelion, which is inspired by the resilient nature of the dandelion weed. He aspires to find his destination to settle and bloom in the world. When the wind blows, he handles it with a calm and relaxed attitude.
這是我創作的角色蒲公英，靈感來自蒲公英的堅韌。他的夢想是有一天能找到自己的歸屬綻放。每當風起時，他總能從容面對。
