ARTIST BIOGRAPHY
藝術家簡介
Cheung Ko Pak, Pako, is a contemporary Hong Kong painter and artist. He graduated from the BACHELOR OF ARTS (HONS) IN VISUAL ARTS at Hong Kong Baptist University.
As a child, Pako disliked doing homework, so whenever he had assignments, he would fill the blank spaces with drawings. His artistic themes are largely inspired by his daily experiences and observations of the world. It is because he often watched Pearl TV, absorbing international content, which led to his early fascination with shows like *America’s Funniest Home Videos* and various wildlife documentaries. As a result, animals, memes, trends, and beliefs became the core themes and sources of inspiration for his later works.
However, behind each of his pieces lies a layer of lingering melancholy, and his emotions and feelings are vividly reflected in his art. As he once said,”It would be a shame to give up painting, I will keep painting forever.”

Three wild horses walked across a vast meadow, their shadows lengthened by the sunset. They suddenly stopped and looked back, looking at the light they had been looking for.
The wild horses wanted to see what was at the end of the light, so they headed towards the shadow. Because they discovered that whenever light appears, shadow appears. They mistakenly believe that the shadow can lead them to the end of the light. Until one day they found that as long as they turned their backs to the shadow, they could find the light. They found out the truth. Follow the light, not the shadow.
"This is the way; walk in it."
