I am Cheung Lok Yee, Joey.
I studied a Higher Diploma in Commercial Design with a focus on Jewelry Design and Visual Merchandising.
My creations primarily use mixed media, emphasizing jewelry and functional art pieces. Drawing from my own experiences, I aim to create immersive works that resonate emotionally and explore how our experiences shape us. Using art as a tool for healing and self-discovery. I believe the most important aspect of design is the user’s experience, as art is a relationship between the work and the audience through interaction.
My participation in service learning for elderly with dementia and individuals with intellectual disabilities. It has shown me that art can be a powerful tool for connection and understanding. Ultimately, I aspire to link my future works to the community, fostering dialogue and empathy through creativity.

It related to the user. This is the playkits for elderly. The purpose of creating this game is to provide some cognitive training exercises for the elderly with mild cognitive impairment, such as matching games, so that they can recall the sounds made by objects they have used before. It is hope to stimulate their vision with bright colors. During the game-playing interaction, I found out the shortcomings of the game that I created. The sounds of some objects were too similar and difficult to distinguish. The most important thing is that the process is not just playing games with them. Games can be a medium or topic to start a conversation with them about the past. This is not just about providing some game therapy to patients with dementia. It also makes me deeply realize that I need to care about the elderly around me and chat with them more. It is important to know the user need. In my fashion accessory, It must consider the experience of user is comfortable and confident or not.
