CHOI Shuk Chun
Life, memories, and emotions are the central themes of Shuk Chun Choi’s creations. The flowers, plants, and ordinary food found along the way can all become part of her expressions. Currently, she primarily explores her artistic endeavours through ceramics. As everyday objects, ceramics possess a sense of life, unique warmth, and familiarity, making them a medium for the artist to explore the processes of past and present life.

As age increases, memories fade and the recollections of my hometown and grandmother slowly sink beneath the surface, distancing themselves from me. Gradually, I lose touch with those memories and the connection to my hometown. However, when a point of contact is established, the past sensations and the bond with my hometown and loved ones resurface once again.
過去於家鄉與奶奶的記憶會隨著年齡 、距離慢慢沈入水底，但是一旦再次有交錯和接觸便會再度浮現。

A book ring: to put simply, make a book ring as a book lover. Playing with the circle shape in which the hollow parts are fruits. This simply reflected my interest, but also shows my character of different and fun imaginations in my creation.

To sense my feeling towards my life and different situations in which most of them are bitter. However, these things will be our part of life. You will release these things that may not be literally bitter but sweet as well in chocolate. Although it is bitter, the cocoa polyphenols in dark chocolate express the sweetness and bitterness in my life. Bitterness could become some sweet things in our life. Viewers can taste my life towards a distinct situation and experience different bitterness levels in this interactive work.
