藝術家簡介
Kan Hei Pui, Tansy's art practice spans installation, photography, and ceramics. She approaches the complex, unspoken states within relationships from a detached, deconstructive perspective. She often uses circular forms, curved lines, and elements of static equilibrium to symbolise the pulls and subtle tensions between people. Her work uses metaphor to construct open-ended narrative structures that express the complexities of intimacy with loved ones, inviting audiences to deconstruct their inner feelings through the space and details. Kan's pieces embody a contradictory tension of softness and incisiveness, fragile but tough, and distil these qualities into her own poetic visual language.
簡希蓓的藝術實踐跨越裝置、攝影與陶瓷等多元媒材,從抽離與解構的視角出發,細緻探究自我與他者之間那些複雜而隱微的關係。她常以圓形、彎曲線條與靜態平衡的元素創作,人與人之間的關係的牽引與微妙張力。作品藉由隱喻建構開放性的敘事結構,將親密關係的矛盾與細微情感具象化。並邀請觀眾在空間與細節間自我解讀、重構內在感受。簡氏的創作同時呈現溫柔與銳利、脆弱與堅毅並存的張力,並轉化為具有詩意的視覺語彙。

Cold air haunts the old house again.
Dampness gathers where the heart is sore.
Water beads the eyes.
To leave it aches. To wipe it aches the same.
Then summer's swelter steams those memories away.
Your chair, in time, gains no new memories, night or day.
梅雨季吹溫暖潮濕的南風
冷空氣在舊居遊蕩
濕度在心頭裏累積
水珠凝聚在眼眸
不抹去難受 抹去也難受
記憶終在溽暑蒸騰
你的坐椅 後來不長記憶

Continuously gasping, colliding, struggling, and finally falling silent.
不斷吐氣,碰撞掙扎,最終沉默。
Relying on each other but without any touch.
A delicate balance of reliance independently,
closeness with distance.
互相依賴,卻又保持距離,遊離在遠近之間。
People copy scriptures to pray for the people we love who have passed away, hoping they will be reborn into a good path. While copying "The Heart Sutra", I suddenly realised this was the last thing I could do for him in this world.
在習俗當中,抄寫經文能為已逝的所愛祈求往生善道。我在抄寫心經的時候,才發現原來這是在世上我最後能夠為他做的事情。
