This artwork is made by Kwok and Ma Matthew. They use the same methodology, but with very different purposes to present the concept of "Earthscape". The message that both artists want to surround themselves with is how to escape. The image on the left emphasizes the result of repeated interactions with deviation. The starting point of the image starts from “We are there now”, and by zooming in and out, it highlights the tiny mouse movement and the huge positional error. The result of this huge error allows the viewer to constantly scrutinise and reflect on his or her position and status in the world. In this way, the artists express the difference between what the naked eye observes and what technology observes. Through images and music, the artists evoke memories of their childhood. In the past, due to technological limitations, it was almost impossible to know the real-time environment on the other side of the globe. Nowadays, technological advances have made it possible to travel around the globe in a matter of moments.
