ARTIST BIOGRAPHY
Kwong Tsz Ki was born in Hong Kong in 2004. She discovered glass casting during her university years and became captivated by the technique. Her inspiration typically stems from observing and capturing the subtle emotions she experiences in daily life, which she combines with natural objects in her creative process. Through the unique qualities of glass—its translucency and fragility—she captures moments of tranquillity and eternity.

HONOURS PROJECT
Casting glass, Pâte de Verre
10 x 36.5 x 25 cm
It wishes to sleep at this moment, away from the clamor of troubles and grief.
Maybe one warm spring day,
maybe an ordinary afternoon,
those arms will open once more –
not under the shelter of wings,
but hearing its own voice:
"I am ready to wake."
Hurt 刺
Casting glass, clay
17 x 7 x 6 cm
Can’t tell if it’s thorns growing from deep inside, or rain that soaks everything.
Either way, it can’t control any of it.
So it just holds itself, wrapping its body in white spikes—
hurting others, hurting itself.
Teething
Casting Glass, Pâte de Verre
11 x 9.5 x 6 cm, 6 x 4 x 3.5 cm
When exactly did the tooth‑changing period end?
It doesn't know – the tooth lying in its palm is the very last baby tooth.
So it makes a wish over that final tooth:
"Please let me grow up quickly. Let my wish come true."
And the wish does come true.
Then, one day after it has grown up, it realises:
It has already happened.
