In response to the accelerated erosion of traditional cultures in the face of globalisation, my project focuses on preserving Hong Kong’s unique heritage, particularly the diminishing cheongsam culture. This zine sheds light on globalisation’s role in its decline, emphasising the lack of media representation hindering public interest. The cheongsam’s fading presence becomes a poignant reflection of our era’s evolution. While aiming to spark curiosity about cheongsam, the project seeks to cultivate appreciation without necessarily advocating its immediate adoption, emphasising the importance of awareness in preserving cultural threads.
