Strength and softness intertwine,
A dance of grace at the core of women.
Like grass that bends yet remains unbroken,
They sing of flexibility and resilience,
Whispering of inner light.
剛柔並濟,
如草之韌,似光之柔。
她們靜靜綻放,
在無聲中堅持,
在柔光中閃耀。

On the occasion of the Qingming Festival, I miss my departed father. During this time, a poignant literary work comes to mind, one that I had the learn from my secondary school. The piece in question is none other than “Memories of Old Peking: Dad’s flowers have fallen” authored by the Lin Haiyin. Dad’s flowers have fallen, and "I" am no longer a child. "I" have grown up.

Throughout my life, I’ve experienced a sense of transience from constantly changing living environments. I often feel like a sparrow unable to find its own birdcage, mirroring my struggle to find a true sense of home. There’s a traditional saying: “Moving to a new home brings good luck; settling in a golden nest invites blessings from the auspicious stars, ” and I have always believed in its truth.
