ARTIST BIOGRAPHY

藝術家簡介

Erica explores memory as something inherently fragmented. Through embracing printmaking's flaws, the process serves as a path to understanding and as an indicator of time. Being particularly drawn to the contrast between the delicacy of the finished piece and the intense, violent nature of the making process. Erica's work asks how memory persists not as a fixed image, but as fragments and personal impressions.

What remains when the familiar turns foreign? Like a home breached, the memory of it becomes a collection of jagged fragments. It becomes a paradox,  the event is deeply etching into the mind. Yet the image itself refuses to reassemble, forever in the act of slipping away.
