Leung Wing Kin

Leung Wing Kin is a visual storyteller who translates thoughts and memories into illustration. Drawing is a joy and a fertile practice for him. A process that consistently leaves him delighted and creatively replenished.

At the heart of his work is storytelling. A good illustration should invite curiosity, hint at a hidden narrative, and encourage viewers to imagine the story that lies behind the image. Through line, colour, and composition, he seeks to create work that feels both intimate and engaging, drawing audiences into worlds suggested by his marks.

The Diary of 2022-2023 2022-2023日記

Digital drawing

電繪

26 x 26 x 3 cm

Diary 2022-2023 is a visual exploration of the invisible weight of mental illness, specifically the repetitive, draining cycle of a patient grappling with depression. The work, in the familiar, everyday format of a standard composition book, chronicles emotional hopelessness and the quiet “fracture of the soul” that often remains hidden from public view.
