Ngok Yu Ching

Ngok Yu Ching (Iris) is from Hong Kong. For her, art is an opportunity for self-healing and exploration. She believes that the most moving art stems from life and genuine emotions, and she hopes her work can serve as a mirror, reflecting not only Iris' story but also a snapshot of the society which we all share.

I stared at those choices for so long that I forgot what I originally wanted. So I gave up. It wasn’t that I didn’t like them — it’s just that if I chose one, the other items would be unhappy.

Let It Rot「

2025

Chinese painting

69 x 46 cm

The inspiration for “Let It Rot” stems from a widely circulated internet slang term in recent years and the current state of young people’s lives. “Let It Rot” is both a form of self-deprecation and my own resistance against negativity.

Through the Crack of Time「瞳年」

2025

Chinese painting

138 x 46 cm

“Through the Crack of Time” depicts an adult me peering into my childhood through the cracks that symbolize time, in search of an innocence that is both familiar and distant.

Between Laughter and Skin「
