Inspired by her own experience working in a caudex plant store, this artwork explores the connection between human emotions and plants, using ceramic pots to exchange stories between plant lovers and caudex plants. Pot designs are inspired by different stories, each unique. Influenced by Japanese garden culture, the designs pursue the mutual cooperation between the works and the environment, creating a tranquil and peaceful atmosphere.

The reason there are piles of stones in this work is that I have a habit of stacking stones on the shore when I relax. It symbolises piling up the troubles in my heart and leaving them on the shore. I hope to have sculptures in the form of stone piles in the garden, which will make the whole story and meaning more complete.

Jonathan Lasker said there’s always an interplay between the unconscious or subconscious and the definite conscious. I remember when I was making ceramics while waiting for the clay to dry on the plasterboard, I would unintentionally create some holes. It seemed like an unconscious action, but it felt like consciously making some marks.
