The space between the two doors becomes a measure of emotional distance between us — a suspended moment balanced between another conflict and the possibility of reconciliation. Each movement of the doors returns us to the same unresolved tension, repeating until exhaustion. As the doors close tightly against one another, they mirror our struggle to truly resolve what stands between us.
The work reflects the fatigue of carrying a conflict that remains unfinished, suspended in a state that is neither fully closed nor healed. Living with unresolved issues alongside those closest to us — whether family or lovers — can become suffocating, a breathless condition of emotional paralysis. Two forces held in proximity, unable to separate completely, yet unable to reconcile.

The art piece converts a turbulent conversation's waveform into motor motion, capturing dialogue's unyielding flow. A creation-phase transit accident reinforces its theme of irreversible moments, paralleling the enduring weight of spoken words. The work invites reflection on communication's intricacies and the immutable nature of certain events.
This installation uses bubbles to visualise the fragile, shifting terrain of emotional triage within family dynamics. Each bubble – delicate, transient, and unpredictable in its path – serves as a metaphor for the fleeting states of feeling that emerge during moments of intense relational pressure: anxiety, tenderness, anger, reconciliation, and silence. Set against the recorded sound of a heated family conversation, the work stages an uneasy choreography between the audible turbulence of spoken words and the silent, almost weightless movement of bubbles.
This carved work captures the elusive, ever-shifting motion of liquid as it flows — its smooth momentum, sudden eddies, quiet ripples, and inevitable gravity-bound descent.
