Expectations are like seasoning in the recipe of life, adding a different flavour to an otherwise mundane existence. They become a driving force that propels us forward, helping us find direction and transforming it into a life experience. However, when seasoning is used in excess, it can overshadow the original taste of life, just like how high expectations can obscure the true essence of life and our own pursuits. Family has an important role in our lives, it brings forth endless expectations from an early age, planting those seeds of expectation that slowly grow into responsibilities and obligations. This work collects vivid memories of the younger generation about their family’s expectations, capturing the enduring impact they have. By incorporating the concept of ‘lying flat’ into the narrative, the work transforms these memories into 20 playful methods to face expectations. It aims to remind audiences that even if they are situated in parental expectations, they can also find their own equilibrium with a humorous attitude.

「期望」好比人生調味料，賦予本來平淡無奇的生活一種不同的味道。它慢慢地成為某種原動力推動我們前進、尋找方向，轉化為人生某種歷練。然而當調味料被過量使用，食物原有的味道會被掩蓋，就像過高的期望一樣可以淹沒生活的真實本質和自身追求。家庭作為人的重心，這種期望從幼年時期開始埋下種子，慢慢生長發芽變成無窮無盡的責任與束縛。本作品收集不同年輕一輩，與其家人期望相關，使他們記憶猶新、難以磨滅的句子，及後加入躺平元素將其轉化成二十種面對期望時可使用的有趣招式，希望觀者透過整個作品體驗能夠在遇到無窮期望時也能保持正面找出自身平衡點以幽默的態度去面對。
