Yeung Yat Nam
Yeung Yat Nam is an artist who works primarily in graphite drawings and handcraft and is also active in illustration and poster design. She believes that objects always have their own significance among themselves. Yeung observes people and things around her with great interest. Her past works mainly focus on capturing everyday objects to express her thoughts and social issues, while leaving room for the audience to deduce the meaning of the objects on their own.
For her, art is a way to record time and to share stories with others, also as an opportunity for her to see from one another perspective and bring about positive change in our society. She captured daily objects that had personal significance for her and used them as a means of expressing expressions and depicting issues of identity, religion, and culture.
